(1) You fax us the following:

a) List of names, SSNs and job titles of all covered pipeline employees
b) List of names, SSNs and job titles of all DOT driver employees
c) Your company's name, address, phone, e-mail, and Federal EIN (or owner SSN).
d) Name of your Employer Representative (DER) - Usually the Owner, HR or Safety Mgr

We will fax or email to you the "Jump Start" Packet including the required "background affadavit".

(2) You give us your verbal "go ahead" and we will:

  1. Find a nearby drug test collection site and process drug test results for your list of employees.
  2. Mail you Federal COC drug testing forms with some other papers.
  3. Find a nearby qualified SAP for your company (Substance Abuse Professional)
  4. Find a nearby qualified EAP for your company (Employee Assistance Program)

(3) You mail us the low start-up fee and the notorized background affadavit and we are well on the way.

When we receive the start-up fee, drug test results and notorized affadavit we will prepare and print your package and submit it to NCMS, Veriforce, Vectrin and/or any other auditor your gas company uses.

Bottom Line is:

If you work on natural gas lines (new installations or repair work) anywhere in the United States you are required to meet U.S. Department of Transportation PHMSA requirements to perform duties associated with your work.

GAS DISTRIBUTION COMPANIES ACROSS THE COUNTRY are REQUIRED to enforce these Federal Regulations.

If you do not meet these requirements you will NOT be able to perform any services that require you to install, repair, or connect natural gas service lines or meters.

Many gas distribution companies have hired companies such as NCMS (National Compliance Management Service, Inc.), Veriforce, Vectrin and others to audit and police your business.

"Startup Package Contents"


1) Your company’s Federally compliant drug plan
2) Your company’s Federally compliant alcohol plan
3) An initial packet of Federal DOT Chain of Custody drug testing forms (We will provide enough forms for all covered employees to receive their initial “pre-employment” drug tests. In addition we will include forms to cover anticipated near-term future hires and other non-random drug testing.
4) Schedule of Supervisor Training Sessions (our offices or remote). Or we will send you a workbook or CD training so you can do the training in your own office under supervision. (not applicable if there are no employees)
5) Various forms and or instructions to notify us of changes that may affect your compliance.

Upon receipt of your payment:

6) On your behalf, Ameritest® will submit your company’s Contractor Compliance Plan to NCMS (National Compliance Management Service), Veriforce and Vectrin and any other audit company you request at no additional charge. When approved by the auditors your company will be included on their gas company's list of approved contractors. Approval is ongoing subject to periodic reports being filed (by us on your behalf every 6 months) with the auditing agency.
